TIRUNELVELI: Activists of People’s Movement Against Nuclear Energy (PMANE) alleged that the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) was deploying kids to distribute pamphlets on the KKNPP safety at Tirunelveli New Bus stand on Wednesday. M Pushparayan, an activist of the PMANE, said that he had found two boys, under the age of 14, distributing pamphlets about the safety of the KKNPP during earthquakes and how safely it was constructed with all proper safety measures kept in mind. When Pushparayan interacted with the boys and asked them about their place, they told him that they were from Thalayoothu and there was one elder person accompanying them in the task. However, Pushparayan was unable to trace the person. The pamphlets state that they were issued by a particular email id: [email protected] “We doubt the work of NPCIL behind this, because same kind of pamphlets were distributed in Koodankulam on Tuesday evening and they were being distributed at Tirunelveli Bus Stand on Wednesday,” he said.
