A wordy duel broke out and in the ensuing melee, they attacked him with logs.Marappan, who sustained severe injuries, died on the spot. The family was trying to dispose his body secretly. However on knowing the incident, Marappan’s younger brother Ponnusamy lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday.
