New Delhi: The name is not the only thing he shares with al-Qaeda chief. Subodhan Kumar alias Laden is known to have unleashed terror in Bihar by a series of killings.

The Patna police on Sunday arrested Laden, who had eluded the police for 11 long years, from a place under Gandhi Maidan police station of Patna for illegal possession of firearms.

A matriculate from Sandalpur village in Nalanda district in Bihar, Laden used to lure young people to the parties he organised and then butchered them. He has confessed to killing at least nine people, including a Kashmiri, since 1995.

Laden used to approach young acquaintances of his target, develop friendship with them and then invite them to a party, PTI reported the Officer-in-charge of the police station, Mundrika Prasad, as saying.

Later, the victims were shifted to Laden's hideout from where the demand for ransom was placed. The victims, no matter whether they pay the ransom or not, were butchered.

"In order to cover his tracks, he finished off his victims. Those who refused to cough up money naturally did not have even an outside chance," PTI quoted Prasad as saying.
