Going by the crowd and its enthusiasm, it wasn’t hard to imagine that rocking the holy cradle in which Krishna lay was a big deal.Women, wearing traditional gold-bordered Kanchipuram and silk saris, walked into the temple-like building carrying a baskets of flowers and sweets to offer Krishna.Amid all the festivities, there was a long wait for Krishna to be moved to the cradle. But after a point, the devotees didn’t really seem to mind. Minutes post a puja, Krishna was finally transferred to the grand-looking cradle. Eager on-lookers couldn’t wait their turn, they pushed their way towards the cradle just to touch it and be blessed.
