BELGAUM: Director General of Police (DGP) Shankar Bidari said that the police investigation in the Chinnaswamy Stadium bomb blast case was delayed as most of the accused were from neighbouring countries. Bidari was speaking to reporters here on Thursday during his first visit to the city after assuming charge as the DGP.He said that some among the accused were arrested by the police. “We are suspecting that they had taken help from local people for setting off two low-intensity blasts which left 15 persons injured on April 17, 2010. The Police Department is on the look out for local people who may have assisted the arrested terrorists,” he said.Inspector General of Police (IGP Northern Range) P S Sandhu and Superintendent of Police Sandeep Patil were present at the press meet.
