A total of 34.26 per cent youth voters aged between 18-29 years will exercise their right to franchise in the three-phase Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha polls.
Out of the total 4,80,91,624 voters in Madhya Pradesh, 1,64,75,859 are youth in the age group of 18-29 which is 34.26 per cent of the total voters, official sources said.
Among the 4,80,91,624 voters, 2,52,89,978 are male and 2,28,0592 are women while 1,054 are classified as 'others'.
Among the youth voters, 16,43,741 are in the age group of 18-19 years and 1,48,32,118 are in the age group of 20-29 years, the sources said.
Maximum number of youth voters in the age group of 18-19 years are in Khargone Lok Sabha constituency totalling 83,719, while in Jabalpur constituency their number is minimum at 35,532, they said.
In the age group of 20-29 years, maximum number of voters are in Morena Lok Sabha seat totalling 6,23,816 while Ujjain has minimum 4,01,970 in that category, sources added.
Polling is scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh on April 10, 17 and 24.
