Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday said that particles found in the nails of the woman, who was found murdered in Mohanlalganj area, matched with the arrested school guard in DNA test.

Uttar Pradesh Police on Tuesday said that particles found in the nails of the woman, who was found murdered in Mohanlalganj area, matched with the arrested school guard in DNA test.

DIG Lucknow Navneet Sikera told reporters these particles matched with the DNA of accused Ram Sewak Yadav and it has been confirmed in the test conducted by state forensic laboratory. He said that nine scratch marks were found on the body of the accused, which were three to four days old, and could be caused in a struggle. He, however, evaded a direct reply on the contradiction in the post-mortem report of the woman.

According to the family, she had donated one of her kidneys to her husband, while the post-mortem report says that both the kidneys were intact.

Sikera said it was a matter of probe and Additional Director General of Police Sutapa Sanyal has handed over him the inquiry. He said that he has asked the SGPGIMS about the details of kidney transplant.

The DIG said that working out the gruesome incident was a big challenge, therefore police was not able to tell media about the incident. He said that police was neither shielding anyone nor was hiding any fact.

Sikera said that the SIM card used to call the woman last time was registered in the name of one Aziz and he had lost it around 10 days before the incident. He said that afraid of being caught, Ram Sewak threw the mobile and efforts were being made to trace it.

The 35-year-old widow, who was murdered on July 16 night after she resisted rape bid, hailed form Deoria district and her father had reached his native village here with her two children, a daughter and a son.

The family members and villagers have demanded a CBI probe into the matter to bring all those involved in the incident to book. Immediately after arrest of the accused Ram Sewak Yadav, the family members of the victim and Opposition parties including BJP, Congress and BSP have demanded a CBI probe into the incident.

"The police have taken name of one Rajiv but did not include him in its investigations. He is boss of Ram Sewak Yadav, who is arrested by the police. The daughter of the victim has taken name of Rajiv, who used to visit the place frequently but police has so far spared him," victim's brother-in-law had told reporters.
