New Delhi: Actress Manisha Koirala and her brother Siddharta will be seen together on the big screen for the first time in Anwar, slated for release this Friday.
While Manisha plays television journalist in the movie, Siddhartha takes on the title role of Anwar, a young artiste trapped in a temple mistaken as a terrorist.
Anwar is abandoned by his mentor and his best friend and his love betray him, said the film's producer Rajesh Singh.
The protagonist then takes refuge in an old building, only to wake up the next morning to find his world turned upside down. A corrupt minister on the lookout for votes and two journalists in an attempt to resurrect their careers decide to focus on Anwar for their advantage, Singh divulged.
The focal point of the film, Anwar eventually becomes the focal point of the country as well. The film has been shot in various parts of Uttar Pradesh.
