Micro sector seeks interest subsidy

PUDUCHERRY: The Association of Small Industries of Puducherry has urged the government to extend the scheme for industries in the micro sector.In a statement on Thursday, secretary of the association, K Parthasarathy while welcoming several pro-industrial measures announced in the budget, said that the new comprehensive industrial policy of the government  should also have a sickness rehabilitation committee at the district and state levels for re-establishment of such units.Further, he suggested that  modernisation subsidy scheme should be introduced to overcome the problem of obsolescence and acquiring of upgraded technology.
