Kolkata: Iconic actor Mithun Chakraborty was today felicitated with a lifetime achievement award by a renowned city-based business house here. The award comprising a memento, citation and Rs five lakh was presented to the actor by West Bengal Governor M K Narayanan.
Accepting the award, Mithun said he espoused Swami Vivekananda's teachings and believed in winning by heart and not solely by mind.
Mithun bagged the national award thrice, for Mrigaya (1976), Tahader Katha (1996) and Swami Vivekananda (1998).
The group has also felicitated stalwarts like the late Ustad Bismillah Khan, Sunil Gavaskar and P T Usha in the past.
