New Delhi: Motorola, in what seems to be an inadvertent revelation, has disclosed the price of its upcoming Moto 360 smartwatch. The company on Wednesday announced a contest wherein it asked potential customers to submit their watchface designs. And in the prizes section of the contest rules (see below) it revealed that its Android Wear smartwatch will come for $249. However, actual suggested retail price at launch may be substantially different.
While there is no exact information on the availability of the watch, it is speculated that the watch may hit the market sometime by the end of June. We have earlier reported that Motorola may launch the watch in India in the next two months. In India, we expect the Moto 360 to be a Flipkart exclusive.
"Moto 360 keeps you on time and up to date without taking you out of the moment or distracting you, telling you what you need to know before you know you need it through subtle alerts and notifications," said Motorola in a blog post.
Moto 360 also responds to your voice. Just say "Ok Google" to ask questions like who won the Stanford vs New Mexico game or what time your flight leaves, or to get stuff done like scheduling an appointment, sending a text, setting an alarm or taking a note.
