New Delhi: The man accused of raping a 4-year-old girl in Ghansore area of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh was arrested on Tuesday from Bhagalpur in Bihar. The accused has been identified as Mohd Feroz.
The minor continues to remain critical in a Nagpur hospital. Her condition deteriorated on Tuesday and she was put on life support. The survivor has suffered severe brain injuries, doctors say. A team is now assessing whether more specialised doctors are needed to attend to her.
Meanwhile, pressure is mounting on the state government as women organisations and students are out on the streets demanding action. The child was allegedly raped last week after the accused lured her with a chocolate.
