Mulayam Yadav, Daughter-in-law Aparna on Stage With Shivpal as He Holds First Rally of New Party
Shivpal Yadav has announced that his party will contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections on all seats in UP, except on the one where Mulayam will fight the polls.

Lucknow: People turned up in in good numbers at Shivpal Yadav’s first rally that he held after launching his new political outfit Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) following differences with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.

Shivpal has over time and again said that he formed the new political outfit only after consulting with his elder brother Mulayam Singh Yadav. So it was no surprise that SP patriarch turned up at the event as a special guest.

Mulayam’s daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav, who has been siding with Shivpal ever since the family feud between Akhilesh and Shivpal Yadav became public, was also present on the stage.

Speaking to media persons at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan on Sunday, Shivpal said, “There are a lot of national and social issues in front of us and that is why we have called the ‘Janakrosh’ rally today."

Earlier, speaking to news18, PSPL state vice president Ashutosh Tripathi had said, “The main agenda of the rally is to raise voice against the jungle raj of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Our motto will be Samvidhan Bachao Samaanta Lao, which means ‘save constitution and bring equality’. The current regime of the Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is at the mercy of God, with crimes at an all-time high."

Both Raja Bhaiya, a six-time independent legislator, and Shivpal are being seen as bricks in the wall which the BJP wants to build against the grand alliance'. Shivpal's new political party has announced that it will contest 2019 Lok Sabha elections on all seats in UP, except on the one where Mulayam will fight the polls. After having differences with his nephew and SP Chief Akhilesh, Shivpal had formed a breakaway group called as ‘Secular Morcha’ in order to bring all the dissent Samajwadi Party leaders under one umbrella, before finally announcing a full-fledged political party of his own.
