Mumbai: The crime branch sources told CNN-IBN that they have recovered four phones and are now in the process of retrieving the call data records from all the four phones. The police believe that the move will be critical in clinching evidence to ascertain the location of the accused at the time of the crime.
Sources also added that the crime branch is working towards filing the chargesheet in the next 10 days. Currently all the five arrested accused will remain in police custody till September 5. They will be seeking an extension in the custody of the culprits.
Mumbai police is planning to conduct test identification parade of the five accused as soon as they are remanded in judicial custody. "If we do not get extension in the police custody and the accused are sent to judicial custody, then we would immediately go for identification parade," a police official had said.
