Nagam seeks names of PAC hopefuls

HYDERABAD: Suspended TDP MLA and former Public Accounts Committee chairman Nagam Janardhan Reddy urged Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar on Friday to disclose the names of those who filed nominations for posts of chairpersons of the Public Accounts Committee, Public Undertakings Committee and Estimates Committee, for which notification was issued. The nominations closed on March 29.Reddy met Manohar in the speaker's chamber and submitted a memorandum on his request. Pointing out that nominations were not filed in sealed covers, he wanted to know the names of those contesting for three committees.Nagam said since the end of his tenure on March 29 no one was appointed PAC chairman.
