ALUVA: Acting on the instructions of Ernakulam Rural District Police Chief Harshita Attaluri, Munambam Police and Kalady Police nabbed two notorious criminals under the Kerala Anti-social Activities Prevention Act(KAAPA). They have been sent to Viyyoor Central Jail.Police led by Njarakkal CI Sajeevan nabbed Shebin alias Thambi(24) of Ponoth Munambam from Njarakkal junction today. He is an accused in a number of cases including murder. There are also cases registered in his name for for throwing explosives, causing grievous hurt, assault, threatening etc.Martin alias Potti Martin (36) of Padayatti, Chengal, Kanjoor was taken into custody from Kalady junction by CI V Roy and SI Mohamed. He is also an accused in several cases including murder, culpable homicide, causing grievous hurt, robbery, rioting with deadly weapons etc. He was charged for the violation of Arms Act and also Explosives Act. He was imprisoned under Goonda Act in 1997 for six months. Stringent action would be taken against the goons and rowdies indulging in anti-social activities in police station limits under the Rural District, said SP Harshita Attaluri.
