New Delhi: The technology has gone too far that today users can conveniently control their TVs, music systems and many other devices with a smartphone. And now you can add one more thing - toilet - to the list of devices controlled using a smartphone, thanks to Japanese technology.
Lixil, a Japanese company, has created under its INAX brand of products a Bluetooth-enabled commode - the Satis - that users can command via an Android app, reports Mashable.
Using the "My Satis" app, toilet users will be able to control the Bluetooth-powered toilet with their smartphones and perform various functions like hands-free flushing, toilet-seat lifting and so on.
According to a website Japan Trends, "You can make personal settings and play music through the toilet's speakers, and also through storing your usage history in the toilet you can see on your device how much your electricity and water bills are going to be."
The new Satis toilets will be on sale from February 2013.
