An unidentified car driver ran over a toll worker in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur to avoid paying toll tax while speeding through a toll booth on the Delhi-Lucknow highway, police said on Friday. The incident was captured on CCTV camera of the toll booth in Chhijarsi late Thursday night.
The video showed the toll booth worker walking across the vehicle lane when the speeding car hit him from behind. The impact of the collision was such that the toll worker was tossed in the air and landed on the car’s bonnet as it sped through the toll booth.

The man was trampled by the car after it ran through the toll booth, officials said.
The toll worker was rushed to a nearby hospital however, his condition remains critical, an NDTV report said. an investigation is underway in the case and the police are looking for the car’s driver.
Last month, an unidentified car driver hit and ran over a woman staffer at the Kashi Toll Plaza on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on being asked to pay.
As the driver attempted to escape the scene, the woman toll worker fell onto the car’s bonnet and subsequently slid off as the vehicle fled the scene and the other staff members rushed to her rescue.
The woman received severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
