THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM general secretary Prakash Karat launched the first full-fledged online magazine in Malayalam, ‘www.nellu.net’, at Karshaka Sanghom Hall here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the magazine will play a significant role in raising Kerala’s progress and views to the national level. Noted historian K N Panickar, in his introductory address, said that in the arena of information technology, ‘Nellu’ makes a significant stride in conveying the life and culture of Malayalees and bringing their identity to the foray.A novel venture by a group of youths, the site offers a variety of fare covering a wide range of topics including ‘Samakaalikam’, ‘Jeevithanauka’, ‘Mannum Manushyanum’, ‘Nagnam’, ‘Thulavarsham’ and so on.
