KOZHIKODE: The Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court IV on Wednesday directed Jaison K Abraham, DYSP of Thamarassery and the member of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the Government to probe into the ice-cream parlour sex case, to submit the status report of the probe into the suicide of two girls 15 years ago that allegedly had links to controversial ice-cream parlour sex-scandal. Judicial First Class Magistrate Court Judge G Mahesh has given the order on the basis of the complaint filed by the National Secular Conference state secretary N K Abdul Aziz to reject the status report submitted earlier to the Court by Assistant Commissioner of Police (North) K Radhakrishna Pillai alleging that it didnot follow required procedures. The court had directed the police to file status reports on the investigation in the case on two occasions following the original petition filed by Aziz on March 17, 2010. In the original petition, Aziz alleged that the two girls were forced to commit suicide by jumping in front of train on October 29, 1996, after getting trapped in the ice-cream parlour sex scam.
