HYDERABAD: A division bench of the AP High Court vacated the interim orders which stayed the operation of the government orders GO 55 and 61 issued in the name of rationalisation of the schools in the state on Wednesday. The bench comprising chief justice Nissar Ahmed Kakru and justice Vilas Afzulpurkar gave this order. These interim orders were given last week in a writ petition filed by the Andhra Pradesh teachers federation (APTF). The petitioner said that the GOs were in violation of the Right to Education Act and in the process of rationalisation the students were being denied schooling.Government filed a petition to vacate the interim orders. It was averred that the whole system is being streamlined and the petitioners have no right to file such a case. The bench heard the counsel for the government and the petitioner and felt that the stay orders cannot be continued.
