Former army chief General VK Singh on Sunday urged voters to oust rulers who he said were responsible for making weak national and security policies.
Sharing the dais with Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, VK Singh said the national security policies of the country were not correct.
"Our neighbours think we are weak. We need to change those who make these weak policies. Not much attention is paid to national security," Singh said.
Tens of thousands of people, including hundreds of ex-servicemen, turned out to listen to Modi as he came to address his first public rally after being named the BJP's prime ministerial candidate.
