KOTTAYAM: Over 37 people were injured after two private buses collided with each other at Irettunada, near Manarcaud, here on Sunday.The incident occurred around 6 pm.The bus, KTS, was coming from Kottayam to Parathanam, Mundakkayam, while another bus, Everest, was coming from Pala to the town via Manarcaud when the mishap occurred.The driver of KTS bus, Baby, 55, was seriously injured in the mishap and has been admitted to the Medical College Hospital here.The driver, who was trapped in the bus, was taken out after cutting open the front portion of the bus.The injured have been admitted to the district hospital and other private hospitals.
