The Bankura unit of Trinamool Congress organised a yagna to pray for the early recovery of Mamata Banerjee.
New Delhi: Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has shot into the limelight after her 25-day fast protesting against the alleged forcible acquisition of land at Singur for the Tata Motors' small car project.
Now, a yagna was organised by the Bankura unit of Trinamool Congress in Bankura on Saturday to pray for the early recovery of Mamata.
Kashinath Mishra, president of the Bankura district unit of the party, performed the yagna that was attended by a large number of Trinamool supporters.
Mamata who ended her fast on December 28, is being treated in a nursing home in Kolkata. Her health is said to be improving.
