They had you glued to your television set with their giggles and gurgles, laughing your heart out with their smart alec comments and the pranks they pulled every other minute.
OUR VOTE! THE OLSEN MUNCHKINS
Twin sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen played the adorable Michelle Tanner in the family drama series, Full House. The cheeky toddlers with their, "You got it, dude!" and "Duh!" catchphrases, were a real treat.
Now 22, Mary-Kate and Ashley began their television career at the age of six months! They were a rage among preteens, not just in America but the world over, with their clothes, books, fragrances, movies, posters, even Mattel dolls!
Today, the twins are the 11th richest women in entertainment, worth a whopping $100 million, according to Forbes magazine.
They are quite the fashionistas of Hollywood. Mary-Kate sparked off the Boho chic trend with her oversized sunglasses, boots, loose sweaters and flowing skirts – an eclectic combination of low and high end pieces.
But everyone hasn't appreciated the Olsen twins' sense of style. Ashley Olsen was included on PETA's Worst Dressed list for wearing fur.
As for their link ups? There's not too much we know of Ashley. She's a private person. Mary-Kate, on the other hand, was reportedly dating Greek shipping heir, Stavros Niarchos III, who began seeing Paris Hilton after their breakup.
Naturally that didn't go down well with Mary-Kate who had a fall out with Paris. Then early this year, rumour had it that she was dating actor Heath Ledger at the time of his death but the actress denied it.
The controversies don't end there. But whether drug scandals or anorexia, the twins seem to have emerged from it all just fine. Here's to many more years on the silver screen!

HE MADE HIS FAMILY DISAPPEAR!
Or so the precocious Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin in the movie, Home Alone) thought. This kid was a complete riot. From watching R-rated movies and dabbing on aftershave to setting booby traps for those lamebrain robbers, Culkin lived every child's dream – living alone as an adult – like a pro.
We are not the only ones who think so. His performances got him second place on VH1's list of the 100 Greatest Kid Stars.
He hasn't done any movies since, as he didn't meet with as much success. That explains why we haven't seen the actor around too much.
He has been busy, though. He married Broadway actress Rachel Miner and divorced her in 2000. He is now dating actress Mila Kunis, and if rumour mills are to be believed, the two plan to get married.
In 2006, Macaulay Culkin released a semi-autobiographical book called Junior.

THE MOST ADORABLE, AWKWARD TEEN EVER
Of course you remember Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) of The Wonder Years. You probably remember his grumpy dad, sugar-sweet mom, annoying brother, nerdy pal Paul and the love of his life, Winnie Cooper too.
But The Wonder Years was more than just another television series. Every teenager identified with Kevin -- his tiffs with his unyielding dad, being nagged by his bully of a brother and those awesome moments in the backyard with the girl of his dreams.
Fred Savage is an awkward teen no more. He is 32 now, with a wife (Jennifer Lynn Stone), and two children, Philip and Lily.
This Stanford graduate is also a film director. Among his directorial credits are, episodes of Drake and Josh, Hannah Montana and That's So Raven.

DISCOVERING HERSELF
Supermodel Brooke Shields was born for the silver screen. She began her career as a model as an infant in soap ads. But what makes her one of our favourites?
Her outstanding performance in The Blue Lagoon, a movie about two children growing into teenage lovers on a deserted island. And to think she was just 15 years old then!
It has been almost 30 years since and the actress is still in the limelight. In fact, the actress even has a couple of movie releases set for 2009
Known for her stunning looks, Brooke has had a long list of beaux. John F Kennedy, Michael Jackson, John F Kennedy Jr, Michael Bolton, Prince Albert II of Monaco, George Michael and Michael Jackson to name a few. She was even briefly married to tennis star Andre Agassi.
The actress is now married to television writer, Chris Henchy, and the couple has two daughters. It has been a rocky ride for Brooke, though, who battled postpartum depression and came out with a book, Down Came The Rain, which talks about the experience.

I'M NO MEAN GIRL
Remember the adorable freckled 11-year old twins -- Hallie and Annie -- in Parent Trap? Their master plan: A careful switch, some harmless pranks and two very innocent faces, all in the name of love! And it worked! They got their parents back together. It was so heartwarming.
But Lindsay Lindsay's career didn't stop there. She has been a hit in all her teen flicks, whether Mean Girls, Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen, Just My Luck or Freaky Friday.
On the personal front, she has seen some rough weather. A regular on the celebrity party scene, she was addicted to drugs for a while and was sentenced to a day in jail and 10 days of community service. But after her stint in rehabilitation, the actress seems to be doing just fine.
Lindsay has a few music albums to her credit: Speak (2004), A Little More Personal (Raw) (2005), and Spirit In The Dark (2008). She has even launched a line of leggings called 6126 (the name inspired by Marilyn Monroe's birthday).
The gorgeous brunette has had her share of linkups as well. After much publicised stints with singer Aaron Carter, Wilmer Valderrama of That 70s Show, restaurateur Harry Morton and model Calum Best, she has been dating English DJ Samantha Ronson. And she is very much in love!

DR LOVE JUNIOR
He made every teenage girl swoon with his medical brilliance and oh-so-charming 16-year old smile. Doogie Howser MD, played by Neil Patrick Harris, was probably every teenage boy's role model and every teenage girl's ideal date.
The real life Doogie, obviously, is no doctor. He does not seem too interested in girls either. In November 2006, the actor announced to the media that he was gay and in a romantic relationship with actor David Burtka.
Harris' acting career hasn't done too badly. Read, the Golden Globe and Emmy award nominated actor plays Barney Stinson in How I Me our Mother and as a drug-crazed, lecherous guy in Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle and Harold And Kumar -- Escape From Guantanamo Bay, among others.
Harris is also a big fan of magic and is on the board of directors of Hollywood's Magic Castle.

THE WELL-MEANING PRANKSTER
Whether it was replacing Mr Wilson's dentures with Chiclets or overturning the dinner table at his party, Dennis Mitchell (of Dennis the Menace) never meant to hurt anyone. So no matter how notorious the child was, you just couldn't stop loving him. And let's face it, how many pesky kids help you catch robbers these days?
Sadly, Dennis (played by Mason Gamble) couldn't remain five years old forever. He is now 22 and studying at the UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles).
He did do a couple of movies, including Rushmore with Owen Wilson, but his career hasn't really taken off. Hopefully, we will see him on the silver screen once he graduates.

MISS GOODY TWO SHOES
And we mean that in the best possible way. We are talking about Lizzie McGuire, played by Hilary Duff.
She is your typical American teenager with her closest pals, finding her way as an adolescent. And like every female teenage protagonist, always comes out on top. But clichéd or not, Hilary Duff managed to woo her audience with her pleasant demeanor.
Today, Hilary isn't just another teenage star, she is a pop singer and entrepreneur too. Pretty cool, huh?
The actress, who has acted in a series of teenage flicks: Cheaper By The Dozen, Cinderella Story, The Perfect Man and Material Girls, was ranked seven on FHM magazine's 100 Sexiest Women in the World, for their US edition.
The pop singer's annual earnings are now at a massive $12 million. Probably because she has managed to stay focused, unlike many of her contemporaries (read Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears).
Hilary dated Aaron Carter in 2001, who broke up with her to go out with Lindsay Lohan. Obviously, she wasn't pleased and she and Lindsay were on the war path for a while. The two made their peace last year. The actress is now dating Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden.

THE LITTLE INNOCENT
You remember the heart-wrenching Hindi movie Masoom (Innocent), starring Naseeruddin Shah and Shabana Azmi, don't you?
Then you cannot ever forget the adorable little boy Rahul (Jugal Hansraj). At 11, he managed to melt our hearts with his role as an illegitimate child who is rejected by his stepmother.
Jugal has come a long way since, acting in movies such as Aa Gale Lag Jaa, Papa Kehte Hain and his breakthrough film, Mohabbatein. He also played smaller roles in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Salaam Namaste and Aaja Nachle.
He recently wrote and directed the animated film, Roadside Romeo, which featured the voices of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead roles.
As for the love of his life? He hasn't met her yet but says he has had his share of girlfriends!
