Plea to include Kudumbi caste in SC list

KOCHI: The state committee meeting of the Kerala Kudumbi  Federation will send a team to New Delhi seeking the  presentation of a Bill to include Kudumbi caste in the Schedule Caste list. In 1967, the state government had recommended inclusion of Kudumbi caste in the list. Various commissions had also  reported that the downtrodden caste deserved special consideration.  Kerala Kudumbi Federation state president N G Moorthi presided over the meet.
