THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Centre for Film Gender and Cultural Studies has demanded that the excess money collected from delegates for the International Film Festival of Kerala be returned immediately.Chairman of the Centre, K G Sooraj and executive director Santhosh Wilson said that the government which conducts the festival should be more transparent on the financial matters of the festival.When the delegate registration for the IFFK began on November 4, the delegate fee was Rs 500 and that for the students it was Rs 300. Following protests from various quarters the fee was reduced by Rs 100 in both categories on November 12. By then, the delegates had already paid the fees.While the Chalachitra Academy said that the excess money paid would be returned along with the issuance of the pass, the money was not been given back. The Centre for Film, Gender and Cultural Studies has demanded the immediate return of excess money collected from delegates.
