Police constable hangs himself to death

A police constable on Sunday allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Mana area in Raipur, police said.

No suicide note was recovered at the spot where Sushil Kumar Pandey (30), posted at the Azad Chowk police station, was found hanging from a tree, Mana City Superintendent of Police Mukesh Khare said.

A native of Chhattisgarh's Surajpur district, Sushil was staying in Mana Camp area. After being informed about the incident, senior police personnel rushed to the spot, Khare said.

A preliminary probe showed he was disturbed because of some family issues which prompted him to take such an extreme step, he said.
