THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Pothys, the premium silk textile brand in the country, will open its first-ever showroom in the state at MG Road near Ayurveda College in the capital city on Thursday. Actor Mammootty, the brand ambassador of the brand, will inaugurate the showroom at 10.45 a.m. Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Ramesh, the managing director of Pothys, said that for the first time ever in the 90-year- old history of the textile brand, they have made the showroom a shopping mall, constituting even grocery and vegetable shops, rather than an exclusive textile shop. This move was intended at making the showroom a one-stop shopping centre for the whole family. The five-storeyed showroom is also equipped with a two-storeyed parking lot which has the capacity to accommodate 250 vehicles, including two wheelers and four-wheelers at a time. Managing partner of Pothys, Mahesh also attended the press conference.
