Pranab Mukherjee hurt in car accident

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee has been injured in road accident in Nadia (West Bengal) where his car collided with a truck.

The Minister was on his way back from Murshidabad to Kolkata when a truck overturned after a tyre burst and collided with his car.

He has been admitted to a local hospital Nakashipara and will be shifted to Krishnagar.

The Minister sustained head injuries and has had three stitches in his head but his condition is said to be safe and stable as of now.
