CHENNAI: In an effort to assist teachers to cope with the new challenges posed by the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) System, to be introduced the next academic year, the management of Matriculation schools across the State will organise training for principals in every district, to enable them train teachers.Announcing this on Saturday, N Vijayan, general secretary of the Federation of Matric Schools, said that some principals and headmasters from each of the 71 education districts in the State would be identified and imparted training on how to deal with the CCE system. Training will be given by the management of Kendriya Vidyalaya schools as they are adept in handling the CCE system, introduced already in CBSE schools. The principals and HMs will be the designated key resource persons, who will, in-turn, teach other school staff, Vijayan said, adding that the training will be held during the summer vacation.At a discussion on the CCE system organised by the Education Correspondents Association of India, senior educationist SS Rajagopalan called for the formation of appellate authorities in every school, so that a system would be in place for students to discuss their problems, if any.  V Venkatachalam, dean, Vel’s Group of Schools and Prince Gajendra Babu, general secretary of the State Platform for Common School System,  spoke.
