BANGALORE: Two artistes, including a popular 29-year-old cine actress who worked in many Kannatda movies and serials, were arrested by Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths for allegedly soliciting customers for prostitution.
The accused Raaji, a resident of Nagarabhavi, was caught along with another cine actress Naagi who was running the sex racket (Both names have been changed). Based on a tip off, the CCB sleuths raided Hotel Madhu on West of Chord Road and arrested them with two pimps Purushothama and (25) and Sreeenivasa (40).Raaji, who worked in moves like Sandalwood and Arbhata in character roles, was offered `20,000 by Naagi every day to entertain clients. Naagi used to arrange clients and the place and would take Raaji to drop and pick her up, the police said.

Besides this, Raaji had also acted in many Kannada serials including Rangoli, Mangalya and Baduku. Naagi had also acted in many serials.
