New Delhi: Traffic in Lutyens' Delhi was on Sunday affected due to large gatherings and processions. Traffic was affected due to the vehicles parked on the roads and areas close to Jantar Mantar at around 1 PM but the situation improved later, said an official of Delhi Police. There was congestion on the road stretch from ITO to CP, he said.

Thousands of people who participated in the 'March for Unity to Save the Country', led by army veterans, marched to Jantar Mantar from Rajghat raising slogans and waving the tricolor.

Another large gathering at Jantar Mantar was to support former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda's fast for peace in the state hit by violent Jat stir. Besides, traffic was also heavy due to people visiting popular spots on Sunday, including Mughal Gardens at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
