Raids at Tiruchy too

TIRUCHY: Sleuths from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption (DVAC) conducted a raid at the house of TNPSC board member at Annamalai Nagar here on Friday. A team of DVAC members, led by the DSP Rama Ambikapathi, conducted a search at the house of one of the members of TNPSC, Dr S Panneer Selvam, as a part of simultaneous search across the State including the TNPSC Chairman, following complaints of irregularities in the conduct of TNPSC group examination and the recruitment of candidates for various posts. The DVAC registered a case against the board members under Sec 13(2), 15 of prevention of corruption act 1988 and sections 175, 186 and 120 B. As a follow up action, the sleuths held simultaneous raids at TNPSC office, residences of its chairman and 13 members across TN.
