Rameswaram:1,500 fishermen to get walkie-talkies

RAMANATHAPURAM: Collector Arun Roy on Saturday asked officials of the Fisheries Department to distribute 1500 walkie-talkies supplied by the government to fishermen, and give them proper training on handling the equipment.At the coastal security meeting held at the collectorate here on Saturday, Arun Roy  also wanted officials of PWD and Coastal Security Group Police to take joint effort to install a boundary demarcation board at the IMBL soon.
