Los Angeles: Actor Robert Pattinson had a unique reason to become a model in his early days - he says he wanted to get closer to girls.
The 27-year-old, who first worked as a model before finding fame in movies such as 'The Twilight Saga', says he never planned to make a career of it, but just wanted to get close to the opposite sex.
"I became a model to meet girls. I was simply still young. I did it without a plan for a career of any form," contactmusic.com quoted Pattinson as saying.
Recently, Pattinson ended his four-year-old relationship with Kristen Stewart as he could not forgive the actress for having an affair with director Rupert Sanders despite being in a relationship with him.
