New Delhi: The country's ace double trap shooter, Ronjon Sodhi was conferred with the Indian sportsperson of the year award by industry body FICCI on Saturday.
"I am honoured to be felicitated by FICCI, which is India's foremost trade body. It has been a great year for me so far and I am looking forward to the London Olympics and hope to make India proud by getting on the podium," said Sodhi after receiving the award at a function in New Delhi.
Sodhi recently won the World Cup Final title at Al Ain (UAE) and became the first Indian ever to defend a world title. He also won back-to-back medals at the shooting World Cups this year and also won a quota place for the London Olympics.
