New Delhi: Sania Mirza's second round exit from the Wimbledon Grand Slam has not harmed her WTA Singles rankings and in fact she has jumped six places to reach the 38th spot.
Sania, who lost to 11th seed Russian Nadia Petrova in the women's singles, was at the 44th place going in to the Wimbledon.
She has also moved up two places in doubles rankings to be at 38. At Wimbledon, Sania and her Israeli partner Shahar Peer had reached the third round.
Among the other Indian women, Sunitha Rao moved up a spot to 264th while Shikha Uberoi slipped 39 places to be at 326th.
In the men's section, Leander Paes moved up one place to ninth in the doubles rankings while his Czech partner Martin Damm also moved up a spot to eighth.
Mahesh Bhupathi, however, was down one place to 21st.
