RAMANATHAPURAM: A woman has sought the government’s intervention to rescue her son who is stranded in Kuwait.It is said that Mujibur Rahman, son of Amir Jahan of Pudumadam, had gone to Kuwait to work in a house in 2010 where he was not provided food and salary properly and allegedly tortured by the house owners and others. Therefore, he escaped from the house with the help of his friends and sought asylum in a friend’s house. But, he could not do any work as he was being searched by the house owners. Meanwhile, he had informed his parents about his plight and urged them to make arrangements for his return to the country. Amir Jahan submitted a petition before Collector Arun Roy two weeks ago. Roy assured her to make arrangements for the early return of her son as he was taking efforts to take the issue before the government at the earliest.
