New Delhi: In what could be seen as a setback to the ghastly Noida child killings case, the Supreme Court on Wednesday, turned down the plea seeking a CBI enquiry in the case.
The Court said the matter is already being probed by various agencies including the Uttar Pradesh police.
News agency PTI reported that a bench headed by Y K Sabharwal said that the issue need not be mentioned before it since National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and National Commission for Women (NCW) were looking into it and is being investigated by State Police.
An advocate Raviprakash Gupta had made an oral mentioning before the Bench for treating newspaper reports on the issue as a petition, PTI reported.
Skeletons of children kidnapped, sexually assaulted and butchered to death were unearthed from the house of horror in the Nithari village in Noida’s Sector 31 last week.
