Jodhpur: The Jodhpur sessions court on Tuesday rejected self-styled godman Asaram's bail plea in the sexual assualt case.
The Jodhpur Police had filed the chargesheet against Asaram and his four aides in the case of sexual assault on a minor girl on August 15. Asaram is also charged under stringent sections of Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act POCSO and Juvenile justice Act.
Onus is now on Asaram to prove before the court that he is not guilty. If found guilty in the case, the self styled god man could be given a life term as per the provisions.
