HUBLI: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah called on women to excise caution against BJP leaders who are indulging in immoral activities.He was speaking at the Women’s Convention organised by the Belgaum Division of Congress here on Wednesday. BJP leaders, apart from indulging in large-scale corruption, were also involved in immoral activities, he said.“Women must shut their doors on BJP leaders.”The crisis the BJP is facing is self-made, he averred, adding that 13 ministers in the current dispensation had to resign for their involvement in various controversies.“Instead of coming to the people’s rescue by assisting the Central drought survey team, BJP leaders are engaged in dissident activities,” he said.Stressing the need to provide political reservation to women, he credited the Congress with providing 50 percent reservation in local bodies. He added that the proposed 33 per cent reservation in the Parliament, is yet to receive a nod in the lower house.Taking exception to the cancellation of 40 lakh BPL cards in the state which had deprived people of various governmental benefits, Siddaramaiah termed the government as “anti-women”.Earlier, Siddaramaiah clarified that the CBI raids were not politically motivated and that they were only expected.
