A dalit teenage girl was allegedly gangraped by six youths in Pingri village of Mathura district, police said on Monday.
The incident took place on Saturday when the victim had gone to a temple for an overnight religious event. In the night, she went to a nearby field to relieve herself. On the way, six youths of the village abducted her and took her to a field. The youths then raped her turn wise and stopped only after she fainted.
They then waited for her to regain consciousness. When she got up after nearly two hours, they threatened her that she would be killed if she told anyone about the crime. Scared, the girl went home and did not tell anyone about her ordeal that night. However, the next day, she told her family about the incident. The family then approached the police.
The accused have been identified as Manoj, Mahesh, Guddu, Sanno, Ramveer and Shekhar.
SSP Nitin Tiwari on Monday said on the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim's family, all accused except Mahesh, have been arrested. The medical examination will be done, he said.
In another case reported from Mahrana village in the district, a 30-year-old man has alleged that four persons from the village confined him to a hut and sexually assaulted him for four days, police said.
The man said when he was returning from a bank on July 16, two men from the village took him to a hut and confined him there. Later, two more men from the village came there and then all four sexually assaulted him for the next four days. He said he somehow managed to escape from there and approach the police.
SHO Bablu Singh said police are searching for the accused.
