HYDERABAD: An SSC student of a private school at Moinabad committed suicide on Thursday.Roja (15) of Sriram Nagar was a student of Bharat Teja School in the same locality. After the reopening of the school following Sakala Janula Samme, the management asked Roja to pay the fee.But the girl’s parents failed to pay it.The school management reportedly asked the girl to stand outside the classroom for not paying the fee. When Roja asked her mother Lalitha to pay the fee as she was forced to stand outside the classroom for the past two days, she told her daughter that she would come and speak to the school management on Friday. Later, Roja went into her room and hanged herself from the ceiling fan.Moinabad police inspector G Sekhar Goud said Roja’s father Balaiah, a head constable attached to the AP Police Academy, in his complaint, stated that his daughter was not going to school for the past two days as she was suffering from severe stomach ache. He suspected that Roja might have taken the extreme step unable to bear the stomach ache. Though Balaiah claimed that his daughter committed suicide unable to bear the stomach ache, it was alleged that she took the extreme step due to the humiliation meted out to her by the school management for her failure to pay the fee on time.
