State govt allots land to IIM-Ranchi for its campus construction

Jharkhand government on Tuesday decided to allot land to the Indian Institute of Management, Ranchi, for construction of its campus at the earliest.

The decision to allot land was taken at a meeting chaired by Jharkhand Governor Syed Ahmed and attended by his advisors Anand Shankar and Madhukar Gupta, Chief Secretary R S Sharma and several other officials, a press release said here.

The land has been identified and a meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday which will be attended by the IIM's representatives, it added.
