The state government on Wednesday submitted an affidavit to High Court stating that it has spent more than Rs 15 lakh for Medical treatment to Abdul Naseer Madani, one of the prime accused in 2008 Bangalore serial bomb blasts case who filed a petition to undergo medical treatment.
Justice H N Nagamohan Das had adjourned the plea for Thursday for further hearing. During the hearing, the government submitted that, it has been doing its duty and medicinal help was being given as per the SC directions. “We have already spent `15 lakh for the medicinal purpose of the petitioner,” the state said.
Madani claimed that since he was remanded to custody, no proper medical treatment was given to him. He had already lost vision in his right eye and has only 30 per cent vision in the left eye.
