GULBARGA: Now it is "certain" that the Article 371 of the Constitution will be amended to benefit the Hyderabad-Karnataka Region, Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mallikarjun Kharge said, but remained silent on the timeline.He said that, “The constitutional amendment takes some more time as it requires a two-thirds majority in Parliament.”The proposed amendment envisages a combination of both Telangana and Vidarbha models.Telangana model has provides for reservation in employment and education for the youths of Telangana region, while a statutory board has been established for Vidarbha for economical development of that region which will be funded by the Centre. “Indications by Chidambaram are that Hyderabad-Karnataka region will get both benefits”, Kharge said.
