SWR announces three new trains

MYSORE/BANGALORE: South Western Railway (SWR) will operate three new train services, which were announced in the Railway Budget, from July.
Two new trains will start operating from July 1, while the other, MysoreChennai CentralMysore Weekly Superfast Express, will be introduced from Mysore and Chennai Central on July 6 and 7 respectively. Union Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa while announcing this on Saturday said, "Increasing the frequency of trains between the two cities has been a long pending demand." On the BangaloreSathyamangalam railway line project that was stuck due to objections from Union Ministry of Forests and Environment, he said: "We have explained to the ministry the importance of the line." Earlier, the minister inaugurated a booking office in Bangalore East railway station and a food plaza in Cantonment station.
