THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DYFI state secretary T V Rajesh on Tuesday demanded an inquiry into the leakage of the report of the DGP, before it was placed in the Assembly. In a statement issued here, he alleged that the DGP had prepared the report to malign him as an MLA and appease the UDF Government. Rajesh claimed that the Venjaramood Traffic Police Sub-Inspector Thomas and the Civil Police officer Suresh had stopped him while he was travelling in a car and behaved rudely. He said the civil police officer had stopped the car in which he was travelling with party colleagues S S Binu and Sajad. Though he had shown his identity card and said that he is an MLA, the policeman refused to permit him to proceed without seeing the ASI, Rajesh said. The LDF would not be browbeaten by such actions of the UDF government, he said.
