New Delhi: A day after the post-mortem report in the death of 11-year-old MCD school girl Shanno put the school in the clear, the teacher who allegedly punished her for not doing her homework has spoken out.
The teacher, accused of making Shanno stand under the sun for hours, denied punishing the girl.
She claimed Shanno was unwell, and she (the teacher) had called her parents to school.
"All allegations against me are baseless. I have never punished any child. That day Shanno vomited after having her lunch. So I called her parents to take her away," said the teacher, Manju.
The post mortem report said Shanno died of a pre-existing medical condition.
The girl’s family has been blaming the teacher, the school principal and administration for the child’s death.
